From late October to early December 2013, Columbia law professor Eben Moglen delivered a series of four lectures on the significance of Edward Snowden’s disclosures about the N.S.A.‘s until-then secret spying programs.
Moglen is the founder of the Software Freedom Law Center and has been Richard Stallman’s attorney for twenty or more years. He recognizes that Edward Snowden is a classic patriot and hero whose sacrifice demands that we act.
You’d think we’d be hearing this message from many sources by now, but we’re not. In fact, the condemnations of Snowden are outweighing the celebrations of him, partly because the mass media are so willing to collaborate with the growing totalitarianism in the United States. So I think it’s particularly important to hear what Moglen is saying in these lectures. Listen and spread it around.
